Astro Rent Cares Supports Hoop voor Lotte
Lotte’s Story
Lotte is the eldest daughter in her family: a cheerful girl with a big heart who dreams of becoming a doctor to help others — just like the doctors now caring for her. In February 2020, the family received the devastating news that Lotte had high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer. After eighteen months of intensive treatment, things seemed to be looking up, but in April 2024, the cancer unfortunately returned.
To improve the chances of recovery, an innovative CAR-T cell therapy was needed. This treatment is only available in Rome and cost around €315,000 — an amount that is not (yet) reimbursed in Belgium. Together with the Kinderkankerfonds, the family set up the Hoop voor Lotte campaign.
Our Contribution at Run to Kick
On 29 October 2024, a participant took part in Run to Kick, the Kinderkankerfonds’ annual running event in the fight against childhood cancer. Through Astro Rent Cares, we sponsored one of the runners and played our small part in the campaign for Lotte.
