At Astro Rent we analyse the location and expected load in advance. Based on that we advise the right number of devices and the appropriate data volume. For smaller events a NetPod is often sufficient — a compact, portable 4G/5G modem that sets up a secure WiFi network within seconds. For larger events with hundreds of simultaneous users we deploy multiple NetBox units. The NetBox is a more powerful unit with external antennas capable of covering a larger area.

Frequently asked questions
How fast can Astro Rent deliver temporary internet for an event?
Usually within 24 to 48 hours of confirmation. For larger sites it is better to ask a few weeks ahead, because network design and a site visit take time. In an emergency, #SOSNetwork delivers the same day, with a surcharge.
What does a quote for event internet include?
The equipment (NetPod or NetBox with access points), travel from Heusden-Zolder, installation and take-down. If a technician stays on site during the event, that presence is listed separately. So you know exactly where you stand in advance.
How many users can the network handle?
NetPod is meant for small zones of up to about 50 users, such as a checkout, a food truck or a crew room. NetBox serves hundreds of simultaneous users and combines 4G/5G, fixed line or satellite into one redundant connection for large sites.
Is the network monitored during the event?
Yes. Every network is followed live through our Stardex monitoring platform: online status, bandwidth, signal and number of connected devices. If a connection drops, we usually see it before you or your visitors notice, and we step in.
