In a youth movement, everything revolves around belonging. The uniform — in the KSA, blue trousers, a t-shirt or jumper, and a scarf — is a fine symbol of that. But buying such a uniform is not a matter of course for every family.

An appeal that moved us

The KSA leadership sent a warm message to parents encouraging their members to wear the uniform. At the same time, they were honest about the fact that a new uniform is not affordable for everyone, and offered second-hand uniforms at half price — always with the necessary discretion.

At Astro Rent, we found it striking that something as simple as a uniform could be a barrier for some families. Because no child should feel excluded because a jumper or a pair of trousers is too expensive.

Our contribution

That is why we reached out to the leadership with one simple question: how can we help? Through Astro Rent Cares, we then purchased eight uniforms. The leadership can hand these out at their own discretion to the children for whom things are a little harder at home.

That way, every child can simply belong, join in the fun, and be part of the group — exactly as it should be.

Why we do this

Astro Rent Cares is our way, as a company, of giving something back to the community around us. Sometimes that means large initiatives, sometimes something small and concrete like a uniform. But the effect is always the same: giving people — and especially children — the feeling that they belong.
