The National Park Hoge Kempen in Maasmechelen served as the backdrop this year for the very first edition of Luminexus, an enchanting light walk of nearly 4 kilometres through one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the region. Between the trees and along the paths, the organisers treated visitors to one of the largest and most atmospheric light experiences Limburg has to offer today.

Behind such a magical experience lies a great deal of technology. And it is precisely where, in the heart of a nature park, a reliable internet connection cannot be taken for granted, that AstroRent stepped in.

The challenge: connectivity where no cable runs

An event of this scale runs on more than light and atmosphere. At the entrance, hundreds of tickets need to be scanned quickly and smoothly, and in the food court, visitors expect their payment to go through first time. The location made that anything but straightforward. In the heart of National Park Hoge Kempen, there is no fixed infrastructure to simply plug into.
