Japan Fes Case Study
Through our partner **Entrytickets **** ** — the solution for ticket sales/scanning and cashless payments — Astro Rent had the opportunity to provide a temporary network for an entire weekend for the Japanese cultural festival Japan Fes at Kapermolen park in Hasselt.
The Japan Fes organisation wanted to make sure that their 25 exhibitors could process cashless payments even when many visitors were present at the same time. That is often the moment when mobile data coverage lets you down.

For Astro Rent, this was the ideal opportunity to show that our temporary networks are also a great choice for larger events. The festival covered approximately 1.2 hectares of Kapermolen Park. A major challenge was the fact that the site consisted of two parts separated by a wood with dense vegetation.

We opted for a backbone cabling with branches to provide both parts with a temporary network. Good distribution and, above all, careful configuration of the WiFi network ensured optimal coverage of the entire site. Satellite internet was used. The precisely chosen position of the dish provided a connection without any downtime.
