Sunkissed Apéro chose Astro Rent

An outdoor event with respect for nature, that was the idea behind ‘Sunkissed Apéro’ in Zonhoven. The people behind The Collision Events held their first edition on 16 and 17 September 2023.

Because the festival took place in a park, it was not straightforward to provide their payment system with reliable internet. That is why they called upon Astro Rent. Thanks to a temporary network with a satellite connection, they were able to use their payment system without any problems. The stable connection made it possible for the festival crew to let visitors pay smoothly and securely.

Some statistics:

— in total, 110 clients were connected to the network.

— a good 65 GB of data was consumed.

— internet speed was between 175 Mbps and 225 Mbps (download) and 30 Mbps and 45 Mbps (upload)

Due to the large number of visitors, it became difficult at a certain point to browse smoothly via 4G. The organisers then decided to set up a temporary wireless network so that visitors could still pay smoothly and securely.

Astro Rent provided us with their satellite internet the perfect network solution for a site that would otherwise have had no network. For an organisation like ours, a solution of this scale is needed. A stable network environment is extremely important for the top-up card system we rolled out at our first event.
